Mlađan Dinkić’s proposal unanimously adopted
The Main Board of G17 PLUS unanimously adopted the proposal of the vice president of the party Mlađan Dinkić, with 251 votes in favour, that all the ministers from G17 PLUS in the Serbian Government should resign if we fail to satisfy the requirements for the continuation of negotiations with EU by 30 September. It has been decided that the ministers should sign their potential resignations right away and put them into emvelopes, with 1 October as the date of entry into force, and that all the member of G17 PLUS are obliged to respect the decisions made by the Main Board. If the negotiations with EU are not continued by the end of September, the Main Board has decided that on 1 October all the MP’s leave the Assembly of Serbia, except for the Chairman Predrag Marković, so that he could call for early elections whose date would be agreed with the coalition partners. The President of G17 PLUS Miroljub Labus resigned from the post after the MB turned down his proposal that the ministers from G17 PLUS should leave government immediately, and that the MP’s from G17 PLUS should stay in the Serbian Assembly to support the Government until the negotiations on Kosovo and Metohy are finished. There were 209 votes against this proposal, and 44 in favour of it, from the Main Board. The vice president of G17 PLUS Mlađan Dinkić will be leading the party until the elections of the new president on an emergency conference of G17 PLUS. On a secret vote of confidence 222 members of G17 PLUS gave their votes of support to the vice president Mlađan Dinkić, and 8 voted against. The president of the Executive Board Verica Kalanović, who had been suspended by the president until the Main Board conference, got 154 votes of support, and 71 against, on a secret vote. Čedomir Antić was suported by 163 members, and 67 voted against him, while a member of Presidency Goran Paunović was given a no-confidence vote since 165 members of MB voted against him, while 55 members supported him. All decisions of the Main Board will come into force immediately, and are binding for all members of G17 PLUS. Failure to comply with these decisions on the part of the party members who are also MPs in the Serbian Assembly, shall result in the application of the Agreement on mutual rights and responsibilities. One of the final conclusions of the MB is that the party G17 PLUS and the MPs of G17 PLUS in the Serbian Assembly must stay united.
